United Trust Life ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use unitedtrustlife.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to this policy.

The short version: We only collect what you choose to give us (like a quote request) plus standard website analytics and advertising measurement. We never sell your personal information. Our free calculators run in your browser; we only receive what you enter in a calculator if you choose to submit a quote request on the same page.

Information you give us

If you submit a quote request or contact form, we collect the information you enter — typically your name, email, phone number, and state, plus any details you add. We use this only to respond to you about life and supplemental insurance and to follow up on your request. We do not require you to provide sensitive information (such as Social Security numbers or health records) through the Site.

Our calculators and tools

Our calculators (coverage-needs, survivor income, funeral cost, cost-of-waiting, term-vs-whole, and similar) and any downloadable worksheets are designed to run locally in your browser. The figures you enter are not saved by us and are not sent to our servers. Downloadable forms (such as the Family Coverage Organizer) are blank templates for you to print and fill out yourself — we do not collect anything you write on them.

Some of our quote pages include a calculator next to the quote form (for example, a VGLI cost calculator or a VGLI deadline calculator). Those figures also stay in your browser unless you submit the quote form on that page. If you do, the values you entered (such as your age, coverage amount, or separation date) are included with your request so your agent can prepare.

Information collected automatically (analytics, advertising & cookies)

Like most websites, we use analytics and advertising services to understand how visitors find and use the Site so we can improve it and measure our ads. These services use cookies and similar technologies to collect standard technical data such as pages viewed, approximate location (city/region), device and browser type, referring source, and on-page interactions like clicks and scrolling. Specifically, we use:

Google Analytics 4 — aggregate traffic, sources, and conversion measurement. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Ads — to measure which ads lead to quote requests and to show our ads to people who have visited our pages (called "remarketing"). When you submit a quote request, Google receives a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address and phone number so it can match your request to the ad you clicked ("enhanced conversions"). Google does not receive the other answers on your form. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Microsoft Clarity — heatmaps and session insights that show how pages are used. Clarity automatically masks text you type and other sensitive content by default. See Microsoft's Privacy Statement.

We use analytics data in aggregate to improve the Site's content and usability. We do not use it to identify you personally.

Your choices

Cookies: You can set your browser to refuse or delete cookies. The Site still works without them.
Google Analytics opt-out: Install Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Personalized ads: You can turn off personalized ads from Google, including our remarketing ads, in Google's My Ad Center.
Do Not Sell/Share: We do not sell your personal information. Our use of Google Ads remarketing may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state privacy laws. You can opt out by emailing us at the address below, by turning off personalized ads in Google's My Ad Center, or by turning on Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser, which our quote request pages honor by turning off ad personalization. Residents of California and other states with privacy laws may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information by contacting us below.
Marketing: If we contact you about your request, you may opt out at any time by replying or asking to be removed.

SMS/Text Messaging

If you provide your mobile number and consent to receive text messages, United Trust Life may send you texts related to your request, including follow-up, appointment reminders, and information about coverage. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time, or HELP for assistance. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to serve you: with the licensed insurance carrier you choose to apply with when you request a quote or apply; with service providers who help us operate the Site and process form submissions on our behalf; with Google for ad measurement as described above; and when required by law. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all sharing described above and are never shared with third parties.

Data retention & security

We keep the information you submit only as long as needed to assist you and to meet legal and recordkeeping obligations, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect it, though no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, with an updated "Last updated" date above.
